Sunwashed is an original architectural abstraction inspired by the quiet beauty of Mediterranean villages—the weathered walls, softened geometry, warm earth tones, and light that seems to linger on every surface. Rather than capturing a single destination, this piece explores the feeling of those timeless places where every layer of plaster, stone, and paint tells its own story.
Built through many layers of acrylic, palette knife work, and subtle texture, Sunwashed embraces imperfect edges, muted color, and the quiet elegance found in architecture shaped by time. The earthy palette of olive, terracotta, limestone, blush, and deep espresso creates a sense of warmth and calm while bringing a contemporary, collected feel to any space.
Part of my Where time lingers collection, this painting is inspired by my love of travel, architecture, and the moments that stay with us long after we've returned home.
