Collection: Desert Daughters

Desert Daughters explores quiet strength through simplicity.

Inspired in part by my Indian heritage—and by the timeless beauty of women shaped by culture, place, and lineage— these figures are intentionally simplified, allowing emotion and presence to emerge through form rather than detail.

Built from sculptural shapes, restrained color, and generous negative space, the figure exists somewhere between abstraction and memory. She isn't meant to represent one person or one place. Instead, she captures a feeling of stillness, resilience, and introspection.

These original painting are part of my ongoing exploration of contemporary figurative art and marks an important moment in my artistic journey toward a more minimal, expressive visual language.
